Cagayan State University – Sanchez Mira Campus is now Certified as MikroTIK Academy

Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators, Region 02 (PSITE Region 2) in collaboration with Commission on Higher Education – Region 02 (CHED Region 2) and in partnership with University of La Sallete, Santiago City, Philippines conducted a 6-day training on MikroTIK Certification Program on September 23-28, 2019 at University of La Sallete, Santiago City. This training boot camp was participated by IT Faculty of different Public and Private HEI’s in the Region.

It was Engr. Roy L. Pamitalan who served as the resource speaker and trainer of the 6-day training. Engr. Pamitalan was a MikroTIK Certified Trainer and MikroTIK Certified Academy Trainer. For more information about Engr. Pamitalan, just follow this link[1].

Cagayan State University – Sanchez Mira Campus became a MikroTIK Training Academy after Mr. Daniel T. Ursulum, Jr. was recognized as MikroTIK Academy Trainer because of passing the three (3) Certification Programs. He was then recognized or certified as MikroTIK Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), MikroTIK Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE), and MikroTIK Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME). With this, the university is now recognized one of the Mikrotik Academies in the Philippines.

As a part of the Mikrotik Academy, CSU-SM can now integrate MTCNA Course in the current curriculum of BSIT Program under Networking 2 which is offered 2nd Semester of every school year. Another option is to offer MTCNA Course to BSIT Students for free. Aside from offering MTCNA for free, CSU-SM will also be benefited of 20 units of RB941 MikroTIK Routers and other Networking Laboratory equipment for training purposes with no cost. With this, students can now have a chance to earn their MikroTIK Certification which will be surely boost their employment rate after graduation.

Aldaw a Panag Dap-Ay Sadiay Palmira

After the thorough rehabilitation and clean-up drive, participated by all the colleges of the campus, for the old CSU-SM Site – Sitio Nagbaranganan, the Farmers’ Training Center had its soft launching last October 2018.

The event was called “Aldaw a Panag Dap-Ay Sadiay Palmira”

The development of the place was part of the continuous endeavor of getting the old site’s back to its fertility.

Now, it is known as the Palmira Nature Park.
