45,000 trees across its 9 different campuses

Cagayan State University under the leadership of OIC President Arthur G. Ibanez has embarked on an aggressive project to plant 45,000 trees across its 9 different campuses. This initiative, known as the 45000 Trees Project, aims to promote environmental sustainability and contribute to the greening efforts of the Philippine government. President Ibanez has delegated the responsibility of overseeing the tree planting activities to the Campus Executive Officers, with a target of 5,000 trees to be planted per campus.

Five (5) faculty members and sixteen (16) students from Cagayan State University participated in the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Summer Exchange Program in Malaysia from July 8-12, 2024.
The faculty members serving as visiting lecturers included VP for Partnership and Resource Mobilization and Internationalization, Dr. Giged T. Battung, and the Director for Internationalization, Assoc. Prof. Kristinne Joyce A. Lara. Joining them are Asst. Prof. Bradley Invierno from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ms. Jane Quilang from the College of Industrial Technology and Asst. Prof. Arlene C. Patricio from the College of Engineering and Architecture.

July 1, 2024 – CSU Sanchez Mira Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, presented before the OIC Office of the President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibaรฑez, the candidates for graduation for the Academic Year 2023-2024 during the Campusโ 46th Commencement Exercises held yesterday.
In his charge to the graduates, Dr. Ibaรฑez emphasized that they should embrace every trial and challenge with heads held high and reminded them of the importance of their generation in the pursuit of achieving the futureโs success.

Alegado, along with the college deans and some campus officials attended the opening program at CSU-Carig Campus, which was highlighted by a motorcade, grand walk, digital age presentation, ribbon cutting of 2024 Sarabo product display, Tinuno Festival and Tatak CSU talk show.
Simultaneously, faculty and staff at the Sanchez Mira Campus participated in a Zumba dance session, proudly showcasing their anniversary t-shirts and umbrellas.
The anniversary celebration will continue with a series of events bringing together the university community on June 13 and 14.

Based on the result released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) yesterday, May 24, 2024, 94.44% of first-time takers of Cagayan State University – Sanchez Mira campus passed the LET for the elementary level while 93.75% for the secondary level. Meanwhile, the campus’ passing rate for the elementary level is 66.67% and 70.53% for the secondary level producing 91 newly Licensed Professional Teachers. โ

Cagayan State University-Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) has produced 12 newly registered engineers resulting to an overall passing rate of 48.00% against the national passing rate of 33.41% in the September 2023 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Licensure Examination (ABELE). A total of 25 test takers, 23 first timers and 2 repeaters took the ABELE last September 14-15 where 11 first timers and 1 repeater hurdled the said examination.
