CCJE emerges as new champion

The Touchstone October 2022

As the continuous battle for the title heats up, the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) emerged victorious as the overall champion in sports and socio-cultural competitions during the four-day Aloft in Sports Year 20 on November 8-11, 2022.

By winning fifty-seven gold medals, CCJE successfully triumphed their title as overall champion, ousting the College of Information and Computing Sciences as the defending champion.

CCJE remained unbeatable with a total of forty-eight gold, fifty silver, and seventeen bronze during the two-day sports activity in the field of athletics, board games, and ball games.

On the other hand, CCJE bagged nine gold, four silver, and zero bronze in different sociocultural activities such as visual arts, performing arts, music, dance, and literary arts.

CCJE is the first ever college of CSU-SM to be hailed as a champion in sports and sociocultural competitions after two years of not having campus intramurals.

Moreover, the College of Industrial Technology and the College of Teacher Education followed the first spot gaining 51 and 39 gold respectively.

The winners from the different sports and sociocultural activities will represent the campus for the upcoming university meet this December.
