CSU-SM Alumni Association supports “Plant-it-forward Challenge”

In a significant move to support the “Plant-it-forward Challenge” and celebrate CSU’s 46th founding anniversary, the CSU-Sanchez Mira Alumni Association (CSU-SMAA) organized a tree planting activity today, June 8, on the campus grounds.

With the support of CEO Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, the initiative of ARPS Coordinator Dr. Janelyn I. Agbayani, and CSU-SMAA President Ardeth Dulig, along with the participation of CSU alumni, graduate school students, and ROTC cadets, they planted 60 golden shower seedlings.

This tree planting activity is part of CSU-SM’s commitment to planting 5,000 trees and responding to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), focusing on environmental balance and ecosystem health while introducing vibrant colors to the campus landscape and supporting beekeeping through the pollination provided by the golden shower flowers.
